Here we have to write strict rules and laws saying we are always right. We don’t like that, but we are obliged to do it. We are an open and clean company and proud to make a nice and honest product. We trust you and we hope you trust us. We will always clear any problem that might arise between us.

The following terms and conditions shall govern the sale by Thijs Verhaar and the buyer. By placing orders with, it is deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to our Terms & Conditions. If you find any subject in the Terms & Conditions not acceptable, please contact Thijs Verhaar before placing your order.


All prices are retail prices and are stated in EURO. Prices are displayed inclusive of the Dutch VAT (21%). All countries within the European Union are shipped on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, meaning that taxes and duties are included in the final price.

If you order products from our site for delivery outside the EU, they may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

 If you want, please contact your local customs office for further information before placing your order. Please also note that you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.

Please be advised that we reserve the right to deduct, from any refund due to the customer, the costs incurred by us for the return shipment of products refused by the customer at Customs in the destination country.


We offer the following secure payment methods through Mollie: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Bancontact, SofortBanking, PayPal and iDEAL. Thijs Verhaar reserves the right to delay or cancel any order if fraud is suspected.


Almost all products are always in stock and will be shipped the next working day after we receive the payment. If your order is not in stock, we will knit your scarf within 7 days and send it. If this is the case, we will let you know by email latest the next working day. Of course, you have the right to cancel the order or choose another available product.


Your order will be shipped within Europe with PostNL. We will email you a tracking number of the parcel when the order has left us. Orders outside Europe are shipped with the courier that can guarantee a delivery within 3-10 working days after order placement.


Depending on stock availability, your order will be prepared for shipment on the next working day (Monday until Friday). All delivery times are estimated depending on the carrier.

For estimation:
The Netherlands 1-3 working days
Within Europe: 2-10 working days
Outside Europe: 3-10 working days


We ship our products all over the world. When your order is €49,99 or more and it will be shipped within Europe, we will pay the shipping costs for regular shipment in Europe by PostNL. Below €49,99, we will charge you €6,95 in the Netherlands and €12,95 in the rest of Europe.

Shipments outside Europe we charge €25, shipment costs. (please check above paragraph for customs and taxes).

For all our customers: you are very welcome to visit our smallest knitting factory of Holland and pick up your scarf or order yourself.

How will my order be shipped?
We always ship your product(s) double packed. It will be first packed in a designed by Thijs Verhaar giftbox and then placed in a special sending bag. We value our products highly and do our best to make sure you will receive it in the best way.

Is my package insured?
Yes, Thijs Verhaar insures each package for the transit period. It is ensured right up to the moment when it reaches you.


We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgment, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

You will always receive an email regarding your order. Please check your junk mail and spam folder if you didn’t receive an email from us. If not, please contact us by sending an email to We will do our very best to assist you.

If you have been charged the wrong amount in the webshop, we will give you the option of placing a new order with the correct price or canceling your order. We, however, reserve the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch should we find that the price is incorrect. In such case, we will notify you by phone or e-mail. If we are unable to contact you, your order will be automatically canceled.

You will receive an email with a Track & Trace code to track your package online to see its current location.

If you haven’t received your package within 7 days (The Netherlands) or 14 days (other countries) and no delivery note have been left for you, track your package online to see its current location. You can always contact for assistance.


You can return your scarf within 20 days after receiving it.
Please contact us by sending an email to when you want to return your product(s), so we can give you instruction on how to proceed.

After we received the product, we will refund this product through the payment system you used to pay us.


Please be so kind not to wear our products before returning. We will only accept returns of items that have not been worn, used, washed or altered. Returned items must be received with original packaging and all tags intact. If you would like to exchange an item, simply return the unwanted item for a refund and place a new order for the replacement item.

Each scarf is almost completely handcrafted. We take extreme care to make each one as perfect as possible. If any of your products are damaged or you didn’t receive what you ordered, please contact us by sending an email to before returning the product(s), so we can give you instructions on how to proceed.

You can send it back at our expense by regular shipment. We will refund only the costs for regular shipment up to a maximum of €20,-. We can send you another article or we can refund you.


All sizes on any product viewed on are external sizes measured in cm.

The colors of products seen on will depend on the screen from which it is viewed and can vary depending on the screen. Therefore, the color seen on the screen can vary a little from the actual color of the product. We have tried as accurately as possible to display the colors of the textile.

Tell us your wishes and we will discuss all options and the final price. We need about 14 days to make it. Custom made products cannot be returned, but if there are any defects or misunderstandings on the design please contact us. We will take care to make you happy about your custom made product.

Where are Thijs Verhaar’s products made?
All of our products are designed and manufactured in our Knitwear Lab in Almere, The Netherlands.

Most of our materials come from Italy. We only work with reputable suppliers that strictly adhere to all the rules set out for the textile industry. The extra fine merino wool we use is from environmental and animal-friendly farms. All the yarn is Oeko-Tex standard 100, Class 1.

Our scarfs are produced with less than 1% waste, which is extremely low for the textile industry. The extra fine merino wool we use is from environmental and animal-friendly farms. All the yarn is Oeko-Tex standard 100, Class 1.


We take great care that we produce everything according to our special standard: treat everybody like you want to be treated! And our kids are too lazy to work anyhow so we have to do everything ourselves!
