Terms & conditions
Here we have to write strict rules and legal language saying we're always right. We don't love that, but we're obliged to do it. We're an open, honest company, proud of the products we make, and we trust you to trust us back. We'll always try to sort out any problem that comes up between us.

The following terms govern the sale between KNITWEAR LAB and the buyer. By placing an order with us at www.thijsverhaar.nl, you're agreeing to these terms. If anything here doesn't sit right with you, get in touch before placing your order.

Prices & VAT
All prices are in euro and include Dutch VAT (21%). Orders shipped within the EU are Delivery Duty Paid, so taxes and duties are already included in the price you pay.

If you order from outside the EU, your order may be subject to import duties and taxes charged when it arrives. You're responsible for paying these. We don't control these charges and can't predict what they'll be, your local customs office can tell you more before you order. You're responsible for complying with your own country's import laws, we won't be liable for any breach of them.

If a package is refused at customs in the destination country, we reserve the right to deduct the cost of the return shipment from any refund owed to you.

Payment
We accept payment through Shopify Payments, including credit and debit cards, iDEAL, and Bancontact. We reserve the right to delay or cancel an order if we suspect fraud.

Stock and availability
Almost everything is in stock and ships the next working day after payment. If a piece isn't in stock, we knit it especially for you, usually within 7 days, and we'll email you by the next working day either way. You can always cancel or choose something else instead. Order policy
We reserve the right to refuse any order, and to limit or cancel quantities per person, household, or order, including orders that share the same account, card, or billing/shipping address. We may limit or refuse orders that look like they're intended for resale rather than personal use. If we change or cancel an order, we'll try to reach you by the email, address, or phone number you gave us.

You agree to give us accurate, current information when you order, and to keep it updated, so we can actually get your order to you.

You'll always get an email about your order, check your spam folder if it doesn't show up. If you still can't find it, email knitting@knitwearlab.nl and we'll help.

If you want to change or cancel an order, email us and we'll do our best. If we've charged the wrong price, we'll offer you the choice of a corrected order or a cancellation, we may also cancel an incorrectly priced order ourselves before it ships and let you know by phone or email.

You'll get a track and trace email once your order ships. If it hasn't arrived within 7 days (Netherlands) or 14 days (elsewhere) and no delivery note was left, track it online first, then contact us if you're still stuck.

Sizes
All sizes shown on our site are external measurements in cm. See our [Size Guide] for the details. If you're unsure before ordering, email knitting@knitwearlab.nl and we'll help you figure it out.

Colour of products & materials
Screen colours vary, so what you see may differ slightly from the real thing. We do our best to represent our textiles accurately, but a screen is a screen.

Where can I buy Thijs Verhaar products?
The full collection is available on www.thijsverhaar.nl. A small number of retailers also carry a selection of our collection. If you're interested in stocking Thijs Verhaar, email knitting@knitwearlab.nl.

Where are Thijs Verhaar's products made?
Most of our products are designed and made at Knitwear Lab in Almere, the Netherlands. Our socks are made in Turkey. Most of our materials come from Italy, from reputable suppliers who follow textile industry standards closely. When available, we choose certified yarns, though we don't yet have the Transaction Certificate in place that lets us formally state those certifications here. Product pages carry the specifics, if you want more, feel free to email knitting@knitwearlab.nl.

Social conduct
We hold ourselves to one standard above all: treat everybody the way you'd want to be treated. Our kids, for the record, are still too lazy to help out, so we're stuck doing all of this ourselves.

Security
We don't store any payment information ourselves, that runs securely through Shopify. We reserve the right to limit product quantities, change descriptions or pricing without notice, and discontinue any product at our discretion.

Intellectual property
This website and everything on it, text, images, design, and the Thijs Verhaar and Knitwear Lab names and logos, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Reproducing, distributing, or reusing our content without our written permission isn't allowed.

Prohibited use
Please don't use this site for anything unlawful, to infringe on our rights or anyone else's, to harass or mislead people, to spam, or to scrape, mine, or extract data from the site using bots or automated tools without our permission. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Automated agents (AI shopping tools)
If you use an AI agent or automated tool to browse or buy from our site on your behalf, it needs to clearly identify itself as an agent rather than pretending to be a human, and it needs to respect any measures we've put in place to manage automated access. We may restrict or block agent access at our discretion.

Limitation of liability
We do our best to represent our products accurately and keep this site running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it'll always be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our products, to the extent the law allows us to limit that.

Indemnification
You agree to cover us for any losses or claims arising from your misuse of the site or breach of these terms.

Legal
www.thijsverhaar.nl, and www.thijsverhaar.co which redirects to it, are domains owned by KNITWEAR LAB, a Dutch company with its registered office at Josephine Bakerstraat 81, Almere, VAT number NL861824386B01, Trade number 80849245.

Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law, and Dutch courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're ordering from elsewhere, your own country's laws may also apply to you, it's on you to comply with whatever's relevant where you are.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
